Local Rules
Out of Bounds (R&A Rule 18): - a ball shall be deemed out of bounds when all of the ball is lying: Over the fences to the REAR of the 1st ,3rd ,6th ,7th, 10th , 12th & 17th Greens, Over the fences to the RIGHT of the 4th ,7th ,8th,11th,12th,13th, 15th ,16th ,17th & 18th holes, Over the fences to the LEFT, RIGHT and REAR of the 14th green and over the line joining the fence to the right and rear of the 14th green. Over the fence surrounding the clubhouse and practice putting green. Note: Relief for a ball in bounds but deemed to be unplayable due to the proximity of an out of bounds fence may be taken by adding one shot to the score for the hole (R&A Rule 19) Movable Obstructions (R&A Rule 15.2) Stones, Rakes in Bunkers & Care of Course signs. Abnormal Course Conditions (Including immovable obstructions) (R&A Rule 16.1) Woven wire sheep control barriers and associated post & stiles to the left of the 1st,3rd,5th, 6th,7th, 8th, 9th &15th fairways –(Relief shall be taken on the side of the fence that the ball has come to rest), fixed tree guards, staked trees, concrete foundations and emplacements, artificially surfaced paths, distance marker discs, course WC and furniture, fixed signs, sprinkler heads, water points and plastic hole covers, clearly marked GUR, animal holes & temporary water. NOTE: There is no relief under Rule 16.1 when playing the ball as it lies is clearly unreasonable because of something from which the player is not allowed to take free relief (such as when a player is unable to make a stroke because of where the ball lies in a bush), or when interference exists only because a player chooses a club, type of stance or swing or direction of play that is clearly unreasonable under the circumstances. Designated Practice Area Practice is only permitted in the following designated areas:- Main practice range, Chipping area to east of main practice range, practice area between 17th & 18th fairways and putting green to the front of the clubhouse.
