Royal Club Benefits
The purpose of Reciprocal Agreements is to provide members of a Royal Golf Club with the opportunity to experience and enjoy the courtesy of playing rights and clubhouse privileges at other Royal Golf Clubs with whom a reciprocal agreement has been put in place.
It is customary to require a letter of introduction to/from the Reciprocal Club in advance. Tee times must also be booked prior to a visit. Proof of membership (membership card) must be provided and, sometimes, a further letter of introduction upon arrival is required.
Reciprocal terms vary from Club to Club and are agreed individually and, for example, may set out the number of rounds which may be played in any one year, whether or not the reciprocal member has the right to introduce any, or a specific number of, visitors and at what green fee rate, etc.
